BunBun is a 5 year old golden mix who was surrendered by his owner because the resident cat kept getting into his food and BunBun growled in response. BunBun startles easily and gets nervous over sudden movements and loud sounds, so any children in the home should be age 10+. BunBun can live with other dogs. He could live with cats if the cats did not approach his food. BunBun does not require a fence. BunBun is a very sweet dog who will thrive in a home that is on the quiet side and is either without cats or has cats who will not try to poach his food.

BunBun (we've been calling him Pippin) has quickly become a wonderful addition to our home. He is a beautiful Golden mix (maybe some Australian shepherd?) with a beautiful soft coat. He is a petite boy weighing only 43 lbs and not too tall -- a great size for almost any home. He is a happy boy! BunBun (we've been calling him Pippin) has quickly become a wonderful addition to our home. He is a beautiful Golden mix (maybe some Australian shepherd?) with a beautiful soft coat. He is a petite boy weighing only 43 lbs and not too tall -- a great size for almost any home.
He is a happy boy! He is content to lay next to you while you work at the computer or rest quietly in his crate. He can be found entertaining himself with a chew or antler on the floor. When you have time to spend with him, he loves sitting next to you on the couch or cuddling up on the floor.
He also loves our walks! We walk in the morning and the evening and he is a great walker. We use a harness or a gentle leader because he will pull a bit and strain on his neck, but no troubles with the harness or leader. He uses eye contact, going to the door and some whimpers to let you know that he needs to go out. No accidents in our house.
He also loves to hop in the car and go with you anywhere. Whether it's heading to Chuck and Don's or picking up a order, he wants to come with. If you are willing to let him have his head out the window, that's his favorite!
One of the unique things about BunBun is how he enjoys rubbing up against his people. It's a little cat-like when he snakes his body against you and just the cutest thing!
He wants to please and is doing great with basic commands. He will sit and wait when you feed him. Learning to wait for the ok to go out the door. And he is ready to learn more.
BunBun startles easily so a quiet home would be best for him. He also is very slow to warm to males. If the men are willing to give him patience and wait until he comes to them, he will warm to them. It took him the first week to warm to my husband and adult sons.
He gets along well with our little Golden mix. He checks in with him regularly to see if he wants to play but accepts when he refuses the request. They enjoy being around each other but BunBun would do well as an only dog.
BunBun is an amazingly sweet boy and he would be a wonderful addition to any home!
