Sir Chesterfield, as I call him, is 14 weeks (4 months) old, 37.3 lbs, and a purebred Golden Retriever of the English Crème variety. The vet estimates he will be about 80 lbs as an adult. He is up-to-date with his vaccinations, microchipped, and is not able to go to his forever home till after he is neutered on 4/9/14. He is willing to meet his forever people before that. Chester came from an awesome home of 2 adults that has had him since he was 6 weeks old, and because of schedule changes, they have found he deserves more attention than they could provide and wanted what is best for him. He definitely has a stereotypical Golden personality. Quite an active boy, 2-hour crazy zoomies and 1-hour naptime. He sleeps well at night and will wake us when he needs to go potty outside, usually around 5 am. Overall potty trained, only a couple of pee accidents and he seemed to understand we did not tolerate that. He still has sharp baby teeth and impulsively chews on anything he is not allowed to, like paper, magazines, and chair legs. We crate him when we are gone for longer then 2 hours, but otherwise, he has free roam all night and day. Chester has a couple of favorite sleeping spots: at the end of the stairs in the foyer (it's cooler down there), or next to our bed on the floor. He is a very happy, healthy dog, and loves kids who are willing to wrestle with him. My 2-year-old grandson loves him, and they chase and wrestle; my 14-year-old daughter babies him and he loves baby talk. He is very affectionate, loves to kiss, and insists on belly rubs. He is very soft like cotton and very easy to cuddle with. We have a 4.5-ft fence and the snow made it less then 2 ft, and he never even attempted to jump it. He could be an only dog or a great playmate for a willingly playful dog or cat. Everyone who meets him just melts by his cuteness and I am sure he will be a equally handsome adult dog. We think he looks like a baby polar bear.

Chester loves to play with my 2-year-old Riley.
