Cooper came to RAGOM as an owner surrender when his family moved and was unable to take him along. While we don’t know every detail of his past, we do know he is a resilient, sweet boy who has settled beautifully into foster life and shows more of his wonderful personality each day.

Cooper is a friendly, affectionate pup who brings so much joy to those around him. He loves tennis balls, his Squishmallows, tasty treats, and exploring on walks (with his gentle harness). A fenced area to sniff and roam is one of his favorite things. He does well with children and other dogs and sleeps soundly through the night. Cooper especially shines when greeting you at the door, during cuddle time, and while performing “surgery” to remove the squeaker from his favorite toys.

He is a very intelligent boy and learns quickly—even while navigating a language barrier. Coming from a Spanish-speaking home, Cooper has already mastered sit, shake, and lay down, and is currently working on heel, come, off, and stay. When left alone, Cooper does not tolerate being crated but does well when gated in a small room such as a bathroom. He is continuing to build confidence with being alone during the workday and is making great progress with consistent structure, positive reinforcement, and extra love.

Cooper would thrive in an active home where he can be included in daily life, enjoy walks and playtime, and soak up plenty of affection. He would also do well with another dog in the home as a companion to keep him company.

Cooper is a truly special boy with so much love to give. With the right match, he will make a loyal, happy companion and a wonderful addition to his forever family. He is currently awaiting neuter surgery and will be available for adoption once he has fully recovered
