Jack
Profile
Jack is a beautiful 9 month old Golden that was surrendered to RAGOM because his family did not have time to take care of him. He is a very friendly boy and lived with four children ages 5 to 12 in his previous home. He is petite for a male weighing in at only 56 pounds. When he met my adult dogs, he thought he might try climbing on them, to which he was told "don't even think about it" in very strong dog language. Once was all it took, after that he was very respectful of them. Luckily for him, Jude 04-081 is here for him to play with and they ran and played and had a fun time. He would benefit from a family that is willing to do some obedience training. I have introduced him to the Gentle Leader, which he didn't love, but tolerated for the first time. He has that wonderful friendly Golden temperament, just a young guy looking for someone to love him.

Just letting you know our Jackie boy left us on 6-30-15. We adopted him on Nov. 20th 2004 from Connie. He was such a good boy, our house is so quiet, but he let us know after fighting the good fight, for a month, that it was time to go. We miss him so much! Thank you for letting him adopt us. Jack is such a sweetheart. I took him to an event today where RAGOM had a booth and everybody wanted to adopt him. He was so well behaved and sat up proud to be petted by everyone who walked by. For some reason, he is scared to get into a car. Once he is in, he lies still -- I don't know if he is scared or comfy, but as soon as I open the door to get out, his head is out the driver's door ready to get out too. Luckily, he doesn't seem to get car sick. I don't know if he was never in cars so they are scary to him or if someone mistreated him. I think after a few short fun trips, he will realize that car rides can be fun. He does have lots of energy to run and play. He and Jude can play and run for hours. Jude gets pooped out, but Jack can keep going forever. I have been told that he isn't housebroken, but so far we haven't had any accidents -- perhaps because the weather has been good and he has been outside quite a bit playing with Jude. He loves to be with you and can lie quietly and chew on a bone or appropriate dog toy. He is a very friendly dog that loves to be with his people.
