Kora Has Found Her Forever Home!

We're thrilled to share the fantastic news that our sweet Kora has been adopted! After her wonderful journey with us, Kora has officially left for her new life with Susan.

While we'll absolutely miss her, we couldn't be happier that her time has finally come. Kora arrived in our care and soon after gave birth to seven beautiful puppies. She was an amazing mother, and now that all her little ones have been adopted, it was finally her turn to find her own happiness.

Thank you to everyone who followed her story. We know Kora will bring so much joy to Susan’s life. Happy tails, sweet Kora!

Meet Kora: A Sweet Golden Mix Ready for Her Next Chapter

If you're looking for a dog who is the perfect blend of playful fun and calm companionship, say hello to Kora! This beautiful approximate 2-year-old Golden Retriever Mix is truly a diamond in the ruff. Found as an injured stray, Kora's past is behind her, and she’s ready to shower her future family with all the love she has to give.

Charming and Resilient:
Kora's early injuries left her with a slight head tilt and mild facial paralysis on her left side. Far from slowing her down, these little quirks simply add to her unique charm and personality! She is a healthy girl who loves life.
Just this past July, Kora proved what a nurturing and loving dog she is when she gave birth to and raised seven beautiful puppies—she was an excellent mother! Now that her pups have found their forever homes, it's Kora's turn.

Temperament and Home Life:
Kora is a gentle soul who adores her people. She’s an affectionate girl who simply loves being in the same room as you. Though she might be a little shy during initial introductions, she warms up quickly and shows off her sweet, gentle nature. She is surprisingly calm and well-behaved indoors, happy to carry her stuffed toys around the house (though she does shiver in fear at the vet!). She is gentle and has never exhibited aggression toward anyone.
In the house, Kora is a dream: she is completely house-trained and sleeps quietly through the night. She is respectful of the home, as she has not chewed on anything inappropriate. Kora is also great with cats and has enjoyed being around her foster family's grandchildren (aged 8 to 16).

Training and Activity:
Kora is a young dog who loves to stretch her legs! She’s known to run the occasional burst of zoomies in the yard and absolutely loves her walks. She rides quietly in the car, making her the perfect adventure buddy.
While Kora initially walked nicely, we are now focused on helping her polish her leash manners. Since her puppies were adopted, we are working on her not barking and not lunging at passing cars while on walks (behaviors likely heightened by her protective mothering instincts). While she hasn't had formal dog introductions while in our care, she's been curious and cautious on leash-walks and has never barked, lunged, or reacted inappropriately to other dogs. Kora will need an active home that will continue her socialization and provide the basic obedience training she deserves.
