I have attached a photo of 14-175 Misty/Goldie. She was adopted end of July in Ames, IA with the help of RAGOM member, Karen Bates. She is loving her new home and has adapted well to a routine. We are discovering new things everyday - just learned she loves to catch and retrieve a bouncing ball - Game On!
Karen provided great information from RAGOM and an excellent collar. We are still guessing at Goldie's heritage, but a Husky contribution seems very strong in her looks and strength. She is good companion on long walks with a gentle leader harness. Looking out for rabbits is a favorite attention grabber. She is blending well with street neighbors, people and dogs. Goldie is the recipient of many back scratches, belly rubs, and enjoys hanging out with the family and greeting all visitors with lively tail wagging and sniffing. Everyone is a potential new friend. Her bark is rarely heard unless a ground squirrel tempts fate by getting too close to the living room or deck windows. Just a warning.
We feel very lucky to have found Goldie. She fills an empty space created when we lost our previous dog in June. She is part of a long line of rescued dog friends, each with unique personalities.
We appreciate our new connection to RAGOM, thank you and Karen Bates for the intervening to save Goldie. She is in a much better place!
