Olive came into RAGOM's care as an owner surrender. She is a healthy pup who can live with children and other dogs/cats. However, she would be best matched with medium-sized dogs who love to wrestle and cats who don't mind being chased. Olive does not require a physical fence.

Olive is now at her forever home and is loving it! She had not yet met the cats when we were there, but they wouldn’t have had much time with her! Her new fur brother Gus was loving having a wrestle buddy and Olive was loving having a companion dog a little more her speed. Not to mention all the new toys and all the belly scratches from the kids and new mom and dad. I’ll send another update later this week with more photos! Off to a great start in her next chapter!! Olive, a 42-pound Golden Retriever mix, will make a delightful addition to any family! With her 3/4 Golden Retriever heritage and 1/4 Labrador mix, she embodies the perfect blend of strength, energy, and affectionate nature.
Olive’s previous owner had her from puppyhood until she was 10 months old. During her time in that household, she coexisted with four young children, cats, and a senior dog. Despite the diverse environment, Olive formed strong bonds with all of them.
While Olive is young and full of energy, she is also incredibly loving when her energy is spent. For families who work full-time, Olive has crate-trained very quickly and is fully housebroken. However, due to her powerful bark and tendency to use it when you leave or return home, she may not be the best choice for apartment living or families with small or fearful dogs.
Now that she’s all healed up from being spayed, we’ll begin neighborhood walks and see how she does on a leash. She’ll also be meeting lots of other neighborhood dogs. Stay tuned for her next update!
