Meet Pumpkin! Pumpkin has settled in beautifully with us. She is very affectionate, and loves lots of belly rubs. Other than occasionally checking out what yummy snacks are on the counter, Pumpkin is very well behaved. She's fully house trained and hasn't had any accidents. Pumpkin has done well meeting new people, and gets along with our two resident dogs. She sleeps through the night on a dog bed in our room. Meet Pumpkin! Pumpkin has settled in beautifully with us. She is very affectionate, and loves lots of belly rubs. Other than occasionally checking out what yummy snacks are on the counter, Pumpkin is very well behaved. She's fully house trained and hasn't had any accidents.
Pumpkin has done well meeting new people, and gets along with our two resident dogs. She sleeps through the night on a dog bed in our room. When we leave the house, Pumpkin usually hangs out in the mudroom. Although, she does fine when left out to free roam as well. Pumpkin will whine for a little while after we leave, but settles down quickly.
At 90 pounds, Pumpkin has had to make some lifestyle changes to get healthy. She is now eating a prescription, weight management diet, and is getting daily exercise. Pumpkin will need someone very dedicated to help lose weight. Pumpkin is doing a great job walking on a leash; she doesn't pull and often walks next to me. Pumpkin gets very excited to go for walks, and loves chasing the birds in our backyard.
Her goal is to lose some weight so she can finally get closer to catching the birds and squirrels. Pumpkin really wants to play with other dogs, but she isn't always aware of her size. She gets very excited and needs some reminders to be a little gentler when she plays. She is a great listener, and responds very quickly to her name.
