    Meet Simon!

This sweet, spirited young guy was found as a stray so we don’t know much about his past — but he’s ready to build a bright future with his forever family!

Simon is full of energy and joy. He thrives when he has plenty to do — think walks, treat puzzles, playtime with other dogs, and fetch in the backyard. He does enjoy rough-and-tumble play, so a home with a resident dog who also likes to play would be a great fit. That said, he could also be an only dog as long as his family provides him with stimulation and an active lifestyle.

He is house trained and likes to snooze either on the floor in the bedroom or curled up on the couch. He knows “sit” but hasn’t had much other formal training, so he’ll do best with a family committed to helping him learn the ropes.

When his foster parents are away, he prefers to not be crated. He does well in a safe area of the house lounging with his foster sister as long as there aren’t any items tempting him to chew.

Despite his playful side, Simon is a big softie at heart — he loves cuddles, soaks up attention, and is generally quiet (only barking occasionally when he’s excited you came home). He doesn’t require a physical fence, but his new family will need a plan to keep him safe during outdoor time.

He’s a very healthy boy! We can’t know for sure what the is mixed with, but the vet has some suspicion for duck tolling retriever.

He’s scheduled to be neutered soon, and once he’s healed, he’ll be ready to head home.

If you’re looking for a young, sweet, active, and affectionate companion, Simon is so ready to meet you!
