Welcome to RAGOM Yancy!  Yancy is a beautiful cream colored 9 week old retriever/lab mix.  He has a soft fluffy coat and beautiful light eyes. Yancy and his siblings had a rough start to life. Their mother was hit by a car and killed. They were left to scavenge for food for an unknown amount of time and then dropped at the pound. They were rescued and following a long ride to Iowa from North Dakota Yancy arrived in foster.   A vet check revealed Yancy to be in good shape despite tough beginnings. He does have a large cut on his ear but it is healing nicely. 

Yancy is a real snuggler. He has an easy going sweet temperament. He gets along with the other dogs and kitties in the home and loves playing. When he is done he loves nothing more than to sleep in your lap. Right now he does get a little growly with our other dog around his food bowl. Given his story this makes sense but I would be hesitant to have him go to a family with very young children unless the family had a plan in place to keep everyone safe. Yancy is scheduled for his neuter and next round of puppy shots the second week of November. After that he will be ready for adoption. Of course, the required caveat that puppies are a lot of work. House training is a work in progress and he will have accidents for some time. Chances are he will chew up something important regardless of how clean the house is and he will need obedience classes to ensure he grows into the perfect companion.
