Curly is a 2-3 year old 55 pound male golden/lab mixed breed. He was rescued from a shelter who had picked him up as a stray. Curly is up to date on all shots and has been neutered.

Curly is a very loving, affectionate boy who wants to go wherever you go. He is very social and enjoys meeting new people and dogs. He has gotten along very well with everyone he has met, both humans and other dogs. He is excited at first but calms down quickly. He is really affectionate and just wants to be someone's lap dog. He has plenty of energy if you want to play.

Curly is crate trained. He goes into his crate without hesitation but it is evident by his sad face that he would prefer not to. He sleeps through the night. He knows the commands "sit" and "shake" and we are working "stay". He enjoys car rides. He loves to go on walks but has obviously not had much leash training. We have been working with him on this and each time we go out he gets a little better. Curly is currently tethered when outside but would love a fenced yard. He will occasionally bark when someone walks by but once he is told that it's "okay", he stops. He is treat-motivated and catches on very fast.

He would love to have a forever home with someone who will spend time with him and will let him snuggle up next to them.
