On Thursday, March 3, 2016, seven healthy Golden Doodle puppies were born at a RAGOM foster home. The litter has an Irish name theme since their mom and both foster brothers have Irish names, plus they were born so close to St. Paddy’s Day!  Over the past 6 weeks, they have grown in leaps and bounds and are now looking for their forever home!  They are happy, healthy, chubby little puppies that love to play outside and to get attention from people.  Their mom is a small purebred Golden Retriever that came from a breeder who had both Golden Retrievers and Poodles.  The puppies have been handled since day one so they are used to being held and they love human touch!  They have experienced kids from ages 3 and up.  They have also been raised with our two Goldens, ages 4 and 1.  They have been exposed to cats and aren’t too sure what to think about them, but they would do fine in a household with cats.  The puppies have been dewormed every two weeks and will have their first vet visit and vaccinations on 4/28.  They will be spayed/neutered the first week of May after they turn 8 weeks old and they will be ready to go to their forever homes after that!  The puppies are growing quickly!  Last week, at 5 weeks old, they weighed between 6 and 7.5 pounds.  All of the puppies are very sweet and have great personalities!  The families that adopt these babies will be very lucky!

Rowan (yellow collar) is a low key, mellow boy.  He is a big, light colored male.  He likes to play, but he is one of the lazier and more laid back puppies of the litter.  He loves to be held and he often snuggles into my arms for a nap.

PLEASE REMEMBER:

  • Puppies are a LOT of work in their first year!
  • Puppies have a small, immature bladder and cannot go a full work day without being let out. You will need to make arrangements for someone to come in midday until he is about 6 months old.
  • Puppies NEED obedience, socialization and manners training! RAGOM gets many unmannered and under-socialized dogs surrendered due to the simple lack of training and socialization when the puppy was young. This is a crucial time for puppies to learn about so many things!
