Profile

James came into RAGOM as a surrender from a commercial breeder. James is adapting to living in a home, and overall is a very outgoing boy!  His foster has not seen him around many children so children in the home should be age 8+. James requires and needs a medium/large confident dog in the home to model and learn from. He would prefer a playful one. He can live with cats. A physical fence is required to help him burn his energy.

James has had many wonderful adventures! His first big trip was a 4th of July BWCA trip. This smart boy mastered the ability to sit in his spot before his first birthday. His passion for kibble and desire to please made a delightful canoe buddy who fits right in the middle. Yes, the youngest pup is the farthest reach from either paddler, and he is a pro.  James has had many wonderful adventures! His first big trip was a 4th of July BWCA trip. Little James has been with his new pack for about 3 months. He is a sweet and gentle companion to his elder Artemis 11-298, and a wonderful playmate for his two year old brother Jax 22-004. James is very good at sharing toys and reading signals. He is a charming puppy who is happy to impress everyone he meets. James loves exploring new places! Jax taught him how to swim on his first trip to the  beach. He’s a natural! James also learned how to come or check in when playing at large o...

"Good things come to those who wait". I couldn't understand why James was with me for as long as he was, he was a darn near perfect boy and if I could keep them all, he would have stayed but I knew the perfect family was out there for him. The wait was worth it in gold and I'm thrilled to say James has been adopted. James now has two fur-brothers (who were also adopted from RAGOM), a mom and dad that work from home and they already have a trip planned to the North Shore as well as a lot of other...

James has been doing great. He had an overnight stay at another foster’s house the night before his neuter and he did wonderful! He did well in his crate and even took a trip to Home Depot where he enjoyed a lot of pets. He was a good boy, enjoyed her resident dogs and racing around the yard. I really wasn’t thrilled about being dressed up but it was better than a cone! I am learning James has absolutely no recall. I know he hears me, but he is too involved with the dogs or what he&...

James is making some great progress this week! He has done so well with the housebreaking! I do work from home so that’s helped a lot, but I’d say he’s about 95% there! James is not a fan of the crate but does well being gated off and at night he sleeps in my room with access to my hall on my second floor and doesn’t have any accidents. I’m dreaming of my fur-ever home! James is a very playful boy. The resident in the home should be younger, playful and be able to...

Welcome to RAGOM, James! James came into RAGOM with a very large group of dogs on July 30th. He came from a breeder who had health issues and was not able to sell him.  During James’s first few days he was very shy and timid. He would not come near me. After watching my residents for a few days, he has gotten over this fear and is a lot better with meeting new people. Since James has a lot of traits we see with dogs from breeding facilities, he does require and needs a medium to large...
