RAGOM

Evy

Profile

Evy is a male, five-year-old mixed breed who came to RAGOM from a shelter, where the noise and stress took a serious toll on his health.  He is a special boy with special needs, diagnosed with Immune-Mediated Myositis, where his immune system attacks his muscles.

Evy will need kids 15 years and older, as he can guard high-value items.  He can live with other dogs but cannot live with cats because of his high prey drive.  He will also need a physical fence in his forever home.

Dog Updates

  1.   Evy here with an update!   I’ve had a little bit of a rough patch lately. My Myositis decided to give me a setback, and I had a skin breakout along with some limping in my front left leg. My foster mom was keeping a close eye on me, and we got my medicine adjusted.       And guess what? I’m doing SO much better!  I’ve even been feeling good enough to run around the yard with my foster brothers! That made me one happy boy.  I also got to ha... Read more → Read less ↑

I also got to have a special bath at the RAGOM office, and WOW, did that feel good!  It was just what I needed, and I felt so much better afterward. Being pampered is pretty nice when you’re me!

While foster mom was at Goldzilla, she was thinking about me and brought home a BIG squeaking football!  Of course, I think it’s pretty great. I love carrying it around and showing everyone my new prize.

I also got some new peanut butter yogurt treats, and let me tell you… YUM!  Foster mom definitely knows how to keep me happy!

Thanks for cheering me on and following my journey. I’m one lucky boy to have so many people rooting for me!

    Love,
    Evy

Evy was diagnosed with Immune-Mediated Myositis, a condition where his immune system attacks his muscles. With intensive care, monthly IV infusions, rehabilitation therapy, and an incredible team of dedicated volunteers, Evy is already getting stronger.

His recovery will take time, and his care is costly. But Evy is a happy, loving dog who truly deserves this second chance.
