Millie
Profile
Note: Millie is bonded with her son Hamm (26-140) and they must be adopted together.
Millie and her son Hamm were surrendered to RAGOM due to a change in family circumstances. Millie is a sweet, affectionate sheepadoodle/goldendoodle mix. Millie can live with children age 5+, can live with other dogs and with cats. Because she and her son Hamm play hard, they must have a home with a physical fence. Because Hamm is a barker and Millie must be adopted with Hamm, a shared wall home is not suitable for them. Millie has good house manners but can be a bit bossy to dogs other than Hamm. Millie and Hamm will be a wonderful addition to the right home.

Millie is just a wonderful girl - great manners, super easy to live with, and a very quick learner. It's been raining almost every day for a week but today was sunny and dry and Millie and Hamm enjoyed some time in the yard. They have games that only they understand - chase is a favorite and it's fabulous to watch these two big dogs enjoy themselves. Lots of bitey face and tackle and then they just stop and look for something else to entertain themselves. Maybe that's a stroll in the yard? An op... Read more → Read less ↑

Lots of bitey face and tackle and then they just stop and look for something else to entertain themselves. Maybe that's a stroll in the yard? An opportunity to sniff the freshly mowed lawn? They are *always* checking to make sure they know where I am when we're outside.
Millie is making slow and steady progress on her weight loss journey - she's lost almost 3 pounds already. She does well at the vet's office and has just finished catching up on her vaccines. She's a healthy girl and her face easily reflects her gentle nature.
Somehow, Millie and Hamm had not made it into our bedroom until this week. They've been sleeping nicely in their crates in another room but today they had a chance to come into the bedroom and they were quick to jump up on the bed and settle while I folded laundry.
Millie is a lovely girl and honestly, she has the most sincere expression. She's a love!

Millie is the definition of an easygoing companion. She loves a good nap on the couch, is always ready for a car ride, and every now and then will surprise you with a sweet kiss on the chin if you're within reach. Her wonderful house manners make her a pleasure to have around, and those soulful eyes will melt your heart. When you talk to Millie, she watches you as though every word is important.
Millie would be perfectly content to be your constant sidekick. Working from home? Millie will quietly keep you company while you’re on Zoom. Making dinner? She’ll happily curl up nearby and supervise. Settling in for a favorite TV show? She’ll be right there beside you. She doesn't need to be the center of attention—she just wants to be close to her people.
Millie defers to Hamm, but she can be a little bossy with other dogs, so she appreciates canine friends who understand her style. She takes her time enjoying her meals and is currently working on getting to a healthier weight. She isn't particularly interested in retrieving, but she does have a soft spot for her special toys.
Most of all, Millie is looking for something simple: a loving home where she and Hamm can stay together. If you’re looking for two wonderful dogs who will happily become part of your everyday life, Millie and Hamm may be the perfect pair for you.
