Profile

Meet Addie! She is a PB Golden, thought to be around 10 yrs old, but very active for her age. Addie has been with me for around 2 weeks so she has really started to loosen up and feel comfortable. She is up to date on her heartworm and flea and tick preventative and the vet gave her a wellness exam and she is now microchipped. She weighs around 76 lbs which is a bit heavy so we have begun daily walks which is helping with her weight and joints. She is walking further each day! We are trying something a little different....Addie is going to give her requirements for a forever family:

'My name is Addie and I am around 10 years old (us ladies don't like to tell our true age) and I can't run as fast or play as hard as I used to...I think some of you can relate to that! Here is what I need for my forever family....

Someone who will take me for walks, even strolls, to get me outside and give me the exercise I need. Foster mom told me it is good for my joints (and hers, too)! I get a little excited at first but slow down and just enjoy all the sights and smells.

Someone who doesn't mind LOTS of Golden nudges.

Someone who doesn't mind when I peer at them over the kitchen table, I am very treat motivated.

Someone who loves a good girl who gets along with cats, kids and other dogs. (The younger ones may need to be put in their place from time to time with a little 'mom' bark.) I am a very mellow gal.

Someone who doesn't care if I sleep by their bed at night as I am house trained and Foster mom hasn't crated me once since the very first night I arrived. I don't get up on the furniture, but I would if invited.

Someone who likes to 'sleep in' from time to time. Foster mom has had to wake me up several times, to go for a ride in the car....which I LOVE!

I can't think of any other requirements right now, and it's time for bed. Sometimes I sneak off to bed before FM!'

Please consider a senior dog for your forever friend. Addie is absolutely no problem, she doesn't sneak out of the house, has no aggression, is housebroken and gets along with everyone. She just wants to be loved. She is a healthy, well adjusted and happy Golden girl.
