Afton was rescued from the streets of Turkey. Now that he is in the United States looking for his forever home, he is jumping all the time. He loves to run after being confined to a small space in the Turkish shelter. He will need a large yard and lots of balls.

    Good morning, on Halloween 2015 I picked up a very skinny rescue from Turkey. I renamed him Lucky and he turned out to be a very, very good dog. Unfortunately, he contracted Sarcoma (grade 3) a year ago. He lived a good year but yesterday I had to put him down. Great dog to the end. Thanks for giving Lucky and me a chance to meet. A great 6 years for both of us!

    Afton has found his forever home with Elizabeth and Tom M. He had two visits with them before a decision was made. On the second visit, when they left he stood at the glass door and watched them leave….crying. He was in LOVE. As I have always heard, the pup picks the owner and he sure picked them. Congrats to Elizabeth, Tom and Afton.

    Afton is a sweet, energetic 60 lbs of pure joy.  He loves to be close and will crawl into the chair to be touching you.  He is a little skinny and his skin and hair show the signs of a poor diet.  But much of his coat is soft to touch.  He loves to have his belly rubbed and rolls over any chance he gets to have it done.  Afton barks very little at home, however when I took him to the Chuck and Don’s meet and greet he was very vocal with several of the other p...
