Wow! Alex is a beautiful, well mannered dog who loves affection and is eager to please. He is very food motivated and whenever we walk by his kennel, he goes into it in hopes of getting a treat. Of course he gets one! He comes when called, sits and occasionaly lies down on command. In the short time he's been at my home he's even learned to "stay" while I walk across the room and back. Alex is smart and will be the perfect companion for someone. He loves his walks and does not pull on the leash. He has a wonderful playful nature as his personality emerges now that he's getting used to his new surroundings. On the tie out in my backyard he enjoys playing fetch and waits anxiously for his treat.
Alex prefers his crate at night (even after I offered he could stay in my bedroom). It is his comfort zone and he does very well there when I have to be gone a few hours. This makes him a very easy dog to have around. Soon he will have a chance to meet another dog and I'll report later how that goes. Also, he's scheduled to be neutered on 11/4/14 , so we are going to get alot of play in before then!
In short, Alex is easy to love and care for and it is a joy to have him in my home.
Dog Updates
- 12/13/2014Alex is the best gift ever! He's so happy being in a home and having to choose between the sofa or a comfy dog bed. He greets me with a smile at the door and loves a good romp in the backyard playing fetch. We both love the outdoors and taking daily walks. I know he's happy, and I can't even express how happy I am having him in my life. Thank you Alex!!

- 11/6/2014Alex 14-201 continues to "blossom" in the comforts of my home, and I think he loves having all my attention and regular back rubs! We're both glad to have the dreaded neutering over (although I'm not so sure he's feeling "glad" just yet).This past weekend Alex met Toby, a recently adopted RAGOM pooch, and after a few sniffs to check each other out they were ready to play!
