Hi Everyone I would like to introduce you all to Alli Finn 15-205. Alli is an eleven week old PB golden retriever. Birthdate 7-5-15. She was surrendered by a breeder due to a genital defect. Alli has an inverted vulva. Alli is cute as can be! She has a beautiful darker red color coat and an adorable little face. Alli also is A LOT of work! :) Alli is not a submissive puppy at all and has been giving my alpha female quite the test in patience. Alli is fearless. She does not read dog's signals that well and will walk up and take a toy right out of another dog's mouth. When my dog growls or attempts to get the toy back Alli will bark and go right back in and try to get it back again. Alli also plays very rough. She will bite my dogs ears and want to play for hours. Alli is very mouthy, we are working on that by replacing our hands, arms and feet with appropriate chew toys. She is a very persistent and stubborn puppy and we sometimes have to separate them to give my dogs a break. We are working on manners though and she is very smart so I am sure in no time she will figure it all out. :)Like every puppy Alli LOVES to chew. She has no preference whether it is your table, your couch, your carpet, socks, shoes, basically anything she can get ahold of. :) She does know the meaning of no and can be redirected fairly easily. Alli is doing great on going potty outside. She only has a couple accidents a day and can go about seven hours through the night before needing to go out.
Alli does sleep in our room with my other dogs. She does prefer the bed. We crate her when we are gone and she will whine at first but settles down after a few minutes. Alli Finn is not a cuddly puppy. She is too busy exploring the new world and prefers to sleep on the floor rather then your lap. She is very adorable though when she sleeps as you can see by the photos. :)
So if you are looking for an independent, persistent and stubborn puppy Alli Finn could be your girl. I do feel if you have another dog he or she will need to have a lot of patience and continue to teach Alli appropriate play behavior.
