Amber is a four-year-old gorgeous female Golden Retriever mama who came to RAGOM from a breeder in Minnesota. She was pretty scared and shut down when she arrived but is ever so gradually coming out of that shell and starting to trust and see what a great life she can have. She still startles easily and is very leary of hallways and surprises. Because of this Amber can not be in a home with shared walls or hallways. Amber will need another medium to large confident dog (or more) in her new home to continue showing her the ropes.  Amber will be fine with children over age 10 and can live with cats. A fence is a requirement for Amber to keep her safe as her background makes her a flight risk. Amber loves getting lots of pets and enjoys being around her foster mom and dad. She will be a really nice companion for a family who is patient and willing to watch Amber unfurl from her past at her own pace. She is a beauty and will fit in with any resident dogs.
