This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog. |
I was picked up as a stray in Waterloo, Iowa. They kept me in this big place with other dogs that were noisy for 10 days in case someone came looking for me but no one did. :( Well, my time was up and this very wonderful couple pulled me and took me home. They contacted RAGOM and I right away found me a foster home. I was really scared and shaking but soon learned that there was nothing to be afraid of. They say that I am a Golden/Cocker mix but no one knows for sure. I look like a mini Golden. I weigh 23 pounds and I am 17 inches tall. I am between 6 months and a year old. The good doctor guesstimates about 8 months. A lot has happened to me in a month. I went to see the good doctor and got a real good check over and got my shots. Then I was taken to this real nice place and was fixed. They tell me that is a good thing, but I wasn't quite sure as I was pretty mopey for a day or so and did not want to do anything. But then all of a sudden I broke loose, so I think it was a good thing. Then I had to go back to the good doctor and get another shot, but I heard him tell Foster Mom that I would not have to have another one for a year. Yahoo!!!!! Well being fixed must be a good thing because I am a lively little squirt. I LOVE to play with my foster brothers and sisters. Especially Jake because even though he is 11 he likes to play, play, play, and play some more. The others not so much, but I try anyway. I am learning the rules and the ropes around here and I am doing really well with listening. Finally got this potty thing down, but it has helped to follow the "big kids."
Well I am here to tell you that everything has really turned out for the better because I worked my charm (and I do have charm) on Foster Mom and Foster Dad because they just fell head over heels in love with me and I am now in my furever home!!! That, I know, is a good thing. Yep, you got it. I was adopted by my Foster Mom and Foster Dad and they tell me that there is not more foster to this. I came in with the name of Amy, but that just did not fit me. I was being called Lil Bit, Itty, Bitty, Itty Bitty, but mom and dad decided that if I was going to learn anything since I am so young that I needed to be called just one name as not to confuse me. They decided on Princess Peanut and they call me Peanut most of the time. So I am now the little guy er girl with two 11 year old brothers, two 10 year old sisters, and a 10 year old foster sister. So I am now one of the Hepker Fur Butts also known as The Zoo Crew. Life is good!!!!!
Here I am with my new buddy and brother Jake.
Here I am with my two new sisters.
You can see how little I am. Aren't I just the cutest little thing?
