Angel is a 6 year old, neutered male who came into RAGOM to help another local rescue. He is a beautiful Golden Retriever mix who completed heartworm treatment and is ready for his home. His traumatic start in life has left him a fearful boy who needs a calm, predictable and patient home. At his first heartworm injection, his fear resulted in what was described as a minor bite (Dunbar Level 2) to the vet techs. Since then he has been muzzle trained and would benefit from an adopter that will continue working with him for vet appointments and other stressful environments with strangers. Angel is looking for a home with no children or cats so that he is able to be comfortable as he learns that the world isn't always a scary place. Angel would do well as an only dog or with a calm, confident dog. A physical fence is optional for Angel, but an invisible fence is not an option as part of a plan to keep him safe. He quickly and closely bonds to his person. He will make such a wonderful companion in his forever home!
