This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

This will be hard to believe once you meet me, but both Avery 14-216 and I were abandoned in a dump as small puppies! Fortunately, some wonderful people found us, and we became RAGOM girls on July 30. Although we weren’t in great shape when we arrived, a few weeks, baths, great food, and lots of love have made all the difference in the world. After only a few weeks, I’m getting a bit chubby; have a beautiful, black, wavy coat; play; wiggle; and act very silly.

Pretty in pink

News Flash… Potty training is going extremely well when my foster mom and dad stick to a schedule and pay attention! Wake up, folks, I’m sniffing over here by the front door! I received a perfect bill of health from the vet on August 18, tipped the scales at 20 lb., and didn’t even make a peep when I was microchipped and given my first round of shots. My spay surgery is scheduled for August 30, but I have found the perfect hiding spot, so we will see if that surgery happens!

Peekaboo!

I love to play with other dogs of all sizes. I approach new dogs by letting them know I am no pushover by barking a lot (trying to sound tough!), but it only takes a few minutes before I make a new friend. I've been kid tested and approved, but would really appreciate it if children chilled a little and approached me with patience. I like to feel comfortable with new places and people before I relax and enjoy myself.

Here are some tidbits from my foster mom:

  • Goes easily into her kennel. Treats help!

Anna (right) and Avery

  • She is exhausted by 10:00 pm and sleeps in her kennel until 7:30 am with no accidents!
  • She really enjoys playing with other dogs.

Playing with the resident dog

  • Kid tested and approved, but Anna would do best with children who are able to understand a dog who needs a more patient approach.
  • Still a bit shy around new people.
  • Loves playing tug-of-war and fetch.
  • Loves walks and stays right by our side.
  • Loves treats.
  • Could spend hours chasing frogs and crickets.
  • Chews on everything. Who needs those brand new pumps for work? Ha ha.
  • Gets a serious case of the wiggles when she gets up in the morning and whenever she welcomes you home!

To be honest, I’m simply a wonderful puppy who needs a forever home. You’d love meeting me and remember to bring treats… lots of them!

As you catch a glimpse of my ridiculously good looks in the photos below, please remember:

  • Puppies, including yours truly, are a LOT of work in their first year!
  • Puppies NEED obedience, socialization, and manners training! RAGOM gets many unmannered and undersocialized dogs surrendered due to the simple lack of training and socialization when the puppy was young. This is a crucial time for me to learn about so many things.

It's mine!
