Welcome to Buck/Buddy!!!!!
He was named Buck by his Good Samaritan, but now responds to Buddy. He was found in the middle of a field in a remote location, shivering, cold, and scared. Once the Good Samaritan got Buck in his warm truck, he went to pet Buck, and Buck instantly laid his head down on the Good Samaritan’s lap, closed his eyes, and just took the attention in. He is a handsome dark red/copper purebred Golden Retriever, neutered, in great shape, and about 5 years old, but one vet said he may be younger.
He is now safe and enjoying his foster home. He wags his tail constantly, gives lots of kisses, and is a snuggler. The more comfortable he feels, the more he does the Golden nudge. He gets along well with our resident senior girl, but not too fond of our resident senior male. Buddy has been to the vet and microchipped. He is up to date on all of his shots. He is about 70 pounds, and the vet would like to see him put on about 5 more. He is eating a great diet and takes treats gently.
Buddy and his foster sister
He will do well in a home without small children, and with only a female dog and a fenced-in yard. After he is more settled, we will try him on more walks. For now, he is a bit skittish and stays by his foster mom's side. He barks at the doorbell. We also think he likes to watch TV. :)
Please consider adding this loving boy to your home. He has many wonderful years ahead of him!
