Buddy Bear joined our family last weekend. He was surrendered to RAGOM due to a change in his family's living arrangements. He was adopted by the SO a few years ago from a Humane Society after being found in a snowstorm.

Mr. Buddy Bear was in dire need of some TLC when he arrived. His beautiful coat was very overgrown and full of tiny mats. FM spent many hours combing him out and was lucky enough to get him in to Wags N Whiskers in Moorhead, MN for a specialty groom on Wednesday, which they did free of charge. He looks and feels much better now. He is one handsome dude!

Buddy has been around children 12+ and does wonderfully. He hangs around the house with his human foster sister and older gentleman Buddy 14-009 on the weekdays. He has a fenced yard currently and is on a tie out at the lake. Both work great. He was said to have excellent recall by the SO.

Buddy was to the vet yesterday and is now UTD, no health issues at all! He weighs in at 70lbs and the vet said he could stand to lose just a few pounds. He may be in need of a dental but the vet said his teeth looked pretty good - just a bit of tartar buildup. He is neutered and needs no follow up care. Perfect!

This wonderful guy would like a family that will spend a lot of time with him. He is soaking up all the love here, something he may have been lacking for quite some time, so if you are the home body type or can take him along on your adventures he would love that. He is an awesome passenger in the vehicle and walks pretty nicely on the leash.

And one more thing, before we forget, Buddy will need a family that will keep up on his grooming. He has the "show dog" coat and he will need to be combed often and kept trimmed.

If you don't mind a dog that sheds immensely, carries around your shoes and paws you for pets Buddy may be the dog for you!
