Hi RAGOM! My name is Caden, and I am 8 weeks old. My estimated birthday is 10/7/2015. My brothers and I were born on a reservation in ND and urgently needed help……luckily for us RAGOM agreed to take us into the family!  We have now been with our Foster Mom (FM) getting healthier and stronger and preparing to go into separate foster homes. When I first came to FM we all weighed just under 5 lbs, had coccidia, roundworms, and some other buggies that wanted to live on us. But in 3 weeks I have gained 2.5 lbs and received medicine to help me with the other things. I am working on getting a nice thick coat of fur so I can play in the snow this winter!

Life has gotten pretty great since we came to rescue. There is plenty of food to eat, medicine to help us, people to love on us, and warm beds to sleep on. My brothers and I have been pretty busy though; we wake up FM early, then eat, play, potty, play, potty, sleep, and start all over a few hours later. We’ve been able to play outside and can handle the snow and winter pretty well for our young age! We like to grab sticks and then run from each other.

I am yellow like my brother Oliver but a little darker than him. We aren’t exactly sure who our mommy or daddy is but it just means more suspense as we grow and change. And since we are mixes, we will tend to be healthier long term. Bonus!

I eat my food really fast right now (so do all my brothers), but it is common in pups/dogs from the reservation since we may not have known when food was coming next. FM is working on teaching us there will always be enough food for our bellies and we don’t need to inhale it. When my brothers and I go into separate foster homes (soon), it should also help as we won’t feel the need to compete.

I have been working hard on learning all about the world and becoming well rounded. FM works with us every day on having new experiences, hearing new sounds, and meeting new people. We can all now “sit” for treats (YUM!) and have mastered going up and down stairs. FM says socialization is so important for all puppies and we trust her so we’ll go ahead and try our best to pay attention to her lessons.

Since my brothers and I are now over 8 weeks old, it is time for us to separate from each other and develop independently. I am heading to my very own new foster home today. FM says she will miss me but is excited for what is in my future. Are you my future? FM says there is a forever family out there for each of us!

Puppies are a lot of work, and I will be no exception. We require a lot of time, devotion, patience, and energy. We will chew on your furniture and potty on your floors. We need you to help continue to socialize us and teach us the world is a good place so that we can become the very best pups we can be!
