Meet Chance! Chance is a purebred Golden who just wants love. Chance was found wandering the streets in IA. After no one picked him up from the pound, a loving foster mom spared his life, took him in and contacted RAGOM. The vet estimates him to be between 8-10 years old.

We believe Chance must have been with a family previously, because he is fantastic with kids, other dogs, as well as cats. There is no one this boy doesn't love! Chance is happiest when he is right next to someone. He has some nervousness in small spaces, as well as some loud noises, but when he is afraid, he simply comes to a person for extra love. Chance is fully housebroken and has shown absolutely NO aggression or guarding. We are working on teaching him to ring the bell to go outside. He absolutely loves to go out for walks - I'm pretty sure he has spent a considerable amount of time outside in the past, he always gets excited when he's out. We are getting him used to the Gentle Leader, but he only mildly pulls on the leash.

Chance has some cataracts, particularly in one eye. This does not slow him down a bit, he loves to play with toys and run around with our resident dog. He has not chewed anything inappropriately, and will often lay down for a nap on his own. He does not go on the furniture. At this point, he is still afraid of the stairs. As he is still getting used to the sights and sounds of our home, I haven't worked with him on it too much yet. He does just fine on 3-4 stairs outside, but a full flight inside makes him afraid. I'm sure he will get through it in time. He is resilient and just wants to please!

Will you give this boy a second lease on life and a safe place to live out his golden years? As hard as it is for us to give him up, Chance is just waiting for a new family to love!
