Cinnamon is a spayed female Golden Retriever. She weighs 82 pounds. The Vet recommends losing about 10% of her weight. Her exact age is unknown, but the Vet estimated that she's between 8 & 10 years old. She is now current on her vaccinations & tested negative for heartworm. She's on Heartgard chews for prevention. Her Vet exam & blood work showed she is very healthy. She has a mild case of conjunctivitis (eye infection) and was prescribed an eye antibiotic ointment for 10 days. She was found as a stray and after her 10 day stray hold was up she came to RAGOM where she is enjoying the "Golden Life". Since she was a stray & wandering, she will need to be secure when she is outside in either a fenced yard or on a strong tie out.

Cinnamon loves the cats in our home. She allows them to share her food & water. She hasn't completely warmed up to our playful, one year old, male resident dog, but she's only been in our home a few days. We are working on doing a slow introduction and are hopeful that they will soon be friends. She's still adjusting to all of the changes in her life recently. Cinnamon knows "sit", "lay down", "shake", "stay-wait", & "come". We're still finding out what else she knows. She gently takes treats from my hand & allows me to take a bone or toy out of her mouth. I brushed her teeth & she seemed to like the doggy toothpaste. She went to Pet Salon Bark Avenue where they donated a complete grooming & nail trim. She was pretty before but now she is beautiful & smells wonderful.

She walks great on a leash with a martingale collar without any pulling, but she zigzags some so we are working on this. I think she is just very curious about everything around her so she wants to check it out. When we jogged together she stayed to the side. She jumps up into & down from our Ford Escape. She rides calmly & quietly in the car. Cinnamon is housebroken. While we are away & at night, we have been crating her.

Cinnamon is a sweet girl & is eager to find her forever family. If she sounds like a good fit for you, please complete an adoption application or contact your placement advisor.
