There is a new boy in town on the RAGOM list. Let me introduce to you Copper, his name really goes with his beautiful color of copper. He just turned 5 last month and is a wonderful dog. His mother is a golden doodle and his father is a golden, so he looks more of a golden. He had a grand mal seizure about a month ago and when he came out of it his owners said he was aggressive towards their son and now the son is afraid of the dog so they had to surrender him. He is a very well trained boy and knows all of his commands. When he came to us he liked to be in his crate for comfort. Now his crate is gone and he is enjoying his freedom. We have left him home alone for a couple of hours free to roam the house and he has not had an accident or destroyed anything. We have three teenage daughters and he is good with all of them. He also really likes the Dad of the house; he will follow him around all day long looking for some attention.

We took him to the cabin this weekend and he stayed around the cabin and played with the other two dogs and the kids with no problems. He is very playful and always wants to play with the other dogs. I think sometimes the dogs were getting annoyed with him because he always wants to play. We took him to the lake and he was very nervous about it and would not go in, but the other dogs went in so he was very brave and went into the water. It was funny to watch him because he was trying to bite the waves.

We took him to the vet and he was up to date on everything and already had a chip in him. I talked to the vet about the seizures and she said that at this time we are just suppose to watch him and if he has more than one a month we should bring him in for further testing. She said he is in excellent heath weighing in at 55 pounds.

This guy loves his ball and could play fetch all day with it. He also has met the cat and wants to play with the cat all the time. Once again the cat is a little annoyed with all of his energy!

He has been around a lot of kids in the neighborhood and up at the cabin and he has no aggressions towards them. He also stays around, Velcro dog, so I don't think he really needs a fence as he always needs to see where we are.
