Profile

Freddie is a medium-energy, ball obsessed, one year old Golden Retriever that came to RAGOM because his elderly owners were not able to exercise and socialize him enough. He can be skittish and reactive around new humans, with lots of barking. Freddie's ideal home would have no children, but other family situations are possible with careful management and training (children 13+).  Freddie is able to live with another large, calm and non-dominant dog, however he would thrive in a home where all the attention was given to him. Freddie will need to find a special family willing to work with Freddie's foster on the adoption transition process and be committed to on-going training and socialization. Freddie requires a physical fence, or significant land, in order to run and play without fear of unknown people coming into his yard.  Freddie will reward his new family with lots of love and affection and golden companionship for years to come.

Welcome to the weekend everyone! This is Freddie’s foster mom and I wanted to give you all an update on how he’s doing. Freddie is such a joy to have around. He is seriously the happiest, sweetest little boy I've ever met.   Freddie now has free roam of my home while I’m working in my office during the day. He is fully house trained and will go stand by the door to be let out when he needs to go. I’m just now starting to leave him (and my resident dog) uncrated for...

Welcome loveable Freddie to the RAGOM family!!! Freddie is a sweet, little golden boy that was surrendered in October 2023. He is young and, of course, has a lot of energy which was not a good fit for his surrendering owner’s home.  Upon arrival at his foster’s home, he was fearful of new people. He warmed up to his foster very quickly and is the most gentle, loving, well-behaved little boy, however he is still nervous when meeting new people.   We have been working with a...
