Welcome, Hattie! This senior gal is around nine years old. She came to the US from South Korea, where she aged out of a program at a university in Seoul that taught students dog training. She lived in a boarding facility when she wasn't at the university.
Hattie can live with dogs and cats, but doesn't need another dog. Other dogs in the home should be on the mellow side. Another senior would be wonderful for Hattie.
Hattie is almost deaf, but can hear some high pitched sounds. Because of her hearing loss, a fenced in yard is required to keep her safe. She is being for ear infections and may have some improvements in hearing when her ears clear up. Hattie has learned hand cues for sit, stop/wait, and shake. A family with experience with a deaf dog would be great or a willingness to learn.
Kids should be over 13 so she isn't startled by little ones. She does not have any signs of resource guarding.
Hattie is very demanding about food but is working on her manners. She will need someone dedicated to being consistent with training. She is vocal about her opinions on being fed people food and will bark excitedly, but is easily redirected.
