Sweet little Hope rode home to Willmar with us on Friday night. A little nervous in the car, but so pooped out from playing with all the pups at All Seasons all day, that she slept much of the way home. She met our goldens at the door, and all tails were waggin'! Hope is developing her own personality, which we're sure was overshadowed by her more outgoing male mate, Liam, in her previous home. She likes to watch and learn, copying whatever our dogs are doing at any given moment. If they play, she plays, if they curl up on the rug, she snuggles right in with them. In fact, our first night home she curled up with our 10 year old, Lady, and slept with her all night. Lady acts like she's indifferent, but Hope knew she was safe with our mama-dog.

Hope is calm, polite, observant, quiet, and just plain sweet as can be. She loves pets and hugs, and when she lays her head on your lap, you'll just melt into her pretty little innocent face. She's a little nervous still - hasn't yet braved our wooden stairs (but they are kind of tough for our dogs, too), and sometimes needs encouragement going through doorways. She's tiny - a little over 50 lbs, and was malnourished when she was brought in but gaining weight by the day now. She's a great eater - doesn't gobble, but definitely loves to eat! Only one year old, and she's already had a litter of pups which were surrendered to RAGOM. The FREEZING temps and strong winds out here in the country are not Hope's idea of a good time - but she does not seem to be a runner as we've had to let go of her leash to get her to go #2 - finally today, success!! She likes to stay close to us and the resident dogs.

Hope was left outside in the freezing rain by her SO when they moved, along with Liam 08-590, the father of her puppies (Shawny 08-576, Copper 08-577 and Scout 08-578). She came in very dirty but now is a beautiful, shiny, soft dog. She also had an ear infection in both ears, which we are working on and will get better with time and effort. Hope will do great in a family with kids or dogs. She is very very adaptable, and will just be the love of your life if you bring her home and let her show you how sweet she is! We are so lucky to have her with us for Christmas - can't wait to let her open her presents! More to come on this beautiful girl!
