1/30/07: This wonderful girl came to us yesterday, from Rapid City. She was on her way to MN but due to the horrible weather conditions, is temporarily here now. How lucky WE are to have her, for even a short time! Izzy has been groomed and vetted. Her personality matches her great looks. She rides very nicely in a car, has all the great manners, ignores the cats, and gets along fine with the rest of the pack. She can really ?talk to you? with those eyes, too! Such a gentle, easy going, loving Golden!
Izzy has bilateral aural hematoma in both pinna (ear flaps), meaning her ear flaps are ?thick? with fluid. She also has ear infections in both ears which are now being treated and her prognosis is great. The hematoma can be surgically fixed--either one or maybe both the ears (due to chronic, untreated ear infections). This girl knows most all commands - sit, stay, lay down, fetch, come?.I could type for days on this girl and not come close to being able to describe what a wonderful Golden she is! Izzy of course, wants to be petted a lot?.lays by you on the floor, looks outside to see what is going on, and never a bark?.just a wonderful temperament! We are so glad we have had the honor to meet her and enjoy her, even for a short time. She's just about as beautiful as they come and a personality to match!
Izzy has a red stuffed toy - a Christmas bone - that she loves with play with! She rolls on it, plays, rubs on it and does the Golden 'groans' with it! She is quite playful for 11! It is really fun to watch! The others just sit and watch - duh! She knows how to have fun!
