I would like to introduce Janette (I call her Jenna), one of 11 dogs confiscated from a hoarder a couple of months ago. She was very malnourished and underweight, coming in at just 28 lbs. She has since gained 20 pounds and looks so much better. She is quite attractive and very very sweet!

When she first came to my house she was incredibly timid. She would hide in corners behind furniture and I could not get her to budge even using treats. I was actually carrying her outdoors for her to do her business. She soon discovered that under the bed was the best place to hide and although I hated to do it, a couple of times a day I would have to drag her out to take her outside. Despite all this she has not once voided indoors!

She is doing so much better now. Although she is still very timid she spends time out and about and now comes running when I open the door to the backyard. She has started to interact more with my other foster dog and it is fun to see her starting to play. She actually has even tried to play with my cats but they will have none of that. She does pay very close attention to their signals to be left alone and has never chased them or attempted to harm them in any way. She also comes to me for attention pets and she loves being petted.

She is easily startled by any noises and by quick movements so I think she would do best in a quiet home with not a lot of activity. Walks are a bit challenging as she darts about from side to side and will stop suddenly, occasionally right in front of me. She is still terrified of other people and strains to run and hide when we meet them on our walks.

I also feel she would do best in a fenced yard so she could do some running. She is quite fast and agile and loves to do quick jaunts across the yard.
