Profile

I would like to introduce you to a bundle of energy. Jerry is an energizer rabbit on caffeine. Jerry is 11 months old (still considered a puppy) who loves to play and run. Jerry was surrendered to RAGOM because his owner was deployed overseas and the wife was not able to take care of home and all the animals on her own. Jerry was very loved by his owners, it is clear to tell. He has a wonderful disposition of being happy and playful.

Jerry is a GR/mix. It is unknown what he is mixed with. At 11 months he is 32 lbs. His tail curls over his back. He is practically all white with light brown across his back. He looks like a miniature Golden Retriever. His hair is thick and feels like silk. Jerry was an outside dog. He is not fully housetrained. He will need some training. Right now he is being crated and tethered to house train. He is doing very well at both. Jerry knows sit, come and will do a down stay. If other dogs are around it is hard for him to keep his concentration as all he really wants to do is play. When apart from them he is fairly obedient.

Jerry loves to wrestle with other dogs. Resident 3 year Max is able to handle this rambunctious puppy, but foster dog 16 week old Shawny (08-576) gets bowled over by this guy. He starts out wrestling nicely but does get carried away in the moment. Since he outweighs Shawny by 20 lbs he sort of mops the floor with her, literally.

He is very gentle with humans and loves to be by his human. He has allowed me to pick him up, brush him, check his teeth and toes. Take food out of his dish and even allowed me to give his dish to another dog, while he watched. He showed no aggression during any of this. There was a slight squabble over a chew bone. Jerry ended up with all three!! There was no fighting just some verbal "that's mine". Jerry needs to be slowly introduced to other dogs as he becomes the Alpha immediately. He could get hurt if he does this to another Alpha.

Due to his incredible energy, his small stature, Jerry would be a terrific candidate for agility training and fly ball.

Jerry needs a Rabies shot and then he is ready to go to his forever home.

OK - So what do you have in your hand???

I really can sit still.
