Jesse is an adorable two-month old mixed breed puppy. He’s been in our care for five days now and he’s settling in well. He is such a happy, cheerful, funny little guy. He is healthy, vaccinated and microchipped. He’ll be neutered soon and then he’ll be ready to go to his forever home.
We have been tossing treats and toys into his crate and he’s goes in willingly and lays down to play, chew a bone or rest. We have also been crating him a few hours at a time and he’s settles in after a couple minutes. His protests are growing shorter every time.
Things I love about Jesse:
- Jesse is confident. He plays hard with our two big resident dogs, but also respects their boundaries when they warn him. He is not overly sensitive and is not afraid.
- Jesse is easily redirected when he starts to get into something he shouldn’t. A simple “ah- ah” gets his attention and he stops. I can easily trade him a toy for my slipper.
- Jesse snuggles for hours. Literally. Hours.
- Even though he loves to be held, he also plays independently. Jesse will toss toys in the air or play soccer with a tennis ball and is capable of entertaining himself.
- Those ears? Seriously.
