Hello RAGOM Land! I am so very pleased to introduce you to one of RAGOM's newest family members, Miss Jynx! Jynx came to RAGOM from our friends at 4 Luv of Dog Rescue in Fargo, ND, who felt that Jynx could find her forever family a bit faster if she was with a Golden Retriever rescue. Before finding 4 Luv of Dog Rescue, Jynx was with her original owner for five years and had free roam on a rural farm. After her owner was no longer able to care for Jynx, she gave Jynx to a friend. Unfortunately after a short period of time, the friend returned Jynx to her original owner who was still unable to care for her. Wow, that's a lot of shuffling around for this sweet gal! Thankfully, Jynx was surrendered to RAGOM via 4 Luv of Dog Rescue and thus begins a brand new chapter in her life.

Jynx is a beautiful dark red golden weighing about 77 pounds which is just about perfect for her build.  She is spayed, up to date on all vetting and heartworm and parasite free.  When she first entered rescue she had a urinary tract infection which has since cleared up.  She also seemed to have trouble getting up from a lay down position and conquering stairs.  She has been taking Dasaquin and Rimadyl twice daily to help with any pain she may be experiencing however, we are tapering her off the Rimadyl as she seems very comfortable with getting up, going up and down stairs and even jumping off and on to our 3 foot high deck.  She runs really well as we've watched her help our resident dogs chase the squirrels, birds and bunnies out of our yard.

Here are some 'golden' qualities about Jynx:

• She is a cuddle bug and loves to be petted - especially belly rubs
• Jynx has free roam for up 7 hours without incident but has no trouble being crated as well.  She would actually do better being crated initially.
• Jynx loves to lounge on the couch most of the time
• She loves food but is NOT a counter surfer
• Jynx is a Velcro dog and gives lots of golden nudges, once she gets to know you
