Kara came into RAGOM via a partner organization in Iowa. She was picked up as a stray, but her owner surrendered her to the local shelter and eventually she became a RAGOM girl. Because Kara is partially deaf, sudden movements and loud noises will startle her, so children in her new home should be at least 10 years old. She can live with other low energy dogs, but she would also thrive as an only dog. She does fine with older, dog savvy cats and would be okay with an unfenced yard as long as there is a plan to keep her safe. She is showing signs of arthritis, so fewer stairs are better.
