Lucky came back to RAGOM yesterday. He was adopted out in 2005 and due to changes in his family situation, he was returned. Lucky is a wonderful, sweet guy and it was nothing he did that led to his return. He is very mellow and easy going. He got carsick on the drive to my house, and threw up in the back of the car, so cars are not his favorite thing. He met all of my dogs and was completely friendly with each of them. Last night he had free roam in my house and was a perfect gentleman. He was quiet and slept peacefully in my bedroom.

We went to the vet today for a checkup. He weighs 75 pounds and is a tall guy. He has several fatty lypomas including a very large one on his belly. I have included a picture of the big bulge on his belly.

The vet said that it was unlikely that any of the lypomas is cancerous. It is common for older dogs to get these growths. The one on his belly makes it tricky for him to lie down, so he usually sleeps on his side. Lucky also has a swelling under his left eye. It might be related to a tooth problem, so he is going to take antibiotics to see if that reduces it.

Lucky has storm anxiety and in the past he broke some teeth chewing on a crate during storm. He has no canine teeth due to this episode. He came with a thunder shirt and his owners said that if he wears that and is crated he will be fine. I will be sending in updates about this when the storm season starts. Lucky has been on anti anxiety drugs for storms, so I got some of that medication to be prepared when the storms start.

I have included a couple of photos of Lucky shopping while we were at the vet's.

This sweet gentleman has had too many changes in his life. He needs a forever home where he can feel secure and loved. Look into his sweet eyes and see if he is the one for you.
