This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

Lucy is a healthy 3.5 year old cream colored Goldendoodle.  She is about 70 pounds, spayed, microchipped and UTD.  She is also current on HW and flea & tick preventatives.  Lucy’s being lovingly surrendered to RAGOM as the family has a special needs child who just loves Lucy so much that she gives her really hard hugs.   Lucy, however, is not a hugger and does not like the attention.   Lucy’s family are entrusting RAGOM to find her a new perfect home.

Hi I’m Lucy and it’s great to be a RAGOM dog. I’m enjoying my new foster family, especially the four legged one named Bella. We play and run around the yard a lot. I’m getting tons of exercise. I also like to go for walks with my foster family and check out my new surroundings. Well I’m kind of new at this so I’ll turn it over to foster mom because Bella wants to play.

What can I say about Lucy?! She is a great dog and really fits in well here. She’s happy, friendly and well mannered.  Lucy isn’t a lap dog but will lie on the floor next to you. I think she would do well with children 5 or older or children who would understand that she doesn’t care to be hugged. She has great recall and doesn’t need a fenced yard. She walks well with her martingale collar and the environment around her doesn’t seem to bother her while walking.  Lucy does not resource guard, has no anxieties at all and doesn’t require a fenced yard.  She loves to play fetch, play with our resident dog, and hang out with her foster family.  She enjoys free roam of the house and she is also crate trained.  She’s great with other dogs but cats are unknown.

I have only seen one issue with her. The issue is that she appears to be somewhat afraid of men especially when a woman isn’t present.  She is great around me and my husband but when it’s just my husband she is extremely timid, cowers and sometimes pees. She will take treats from me but not my husband. My husband and I have been working with Lucy and she is making slow progress with my husband. Lucy is definitely most comfortable around women.
