Lucy has arrived!!  She is a beautiful 8 1/2 year old purebred Golden Retriever.  Lucy has been spayed, microchipped and is up to date with all of her vaccinations.  She is not currently on heartworm and flea/tick preventive so we will visit the vet next week and get her UTD.  She seems to be very healthy and active.  She weighs approximately 74 pounds.

Lucy is a total delight.  She is sweet, friendly, outgoing, but very ladylike and appropriate.  She loves people and dogs, in that order.  She likes to go for walks and the only time she pulls a bit on her leash is if she sees a person coming.  She's very gracious and polite.  I found some puppy toys at my house and she likes to play with them -- she throws them up in the air and catches them and likes to make them squeak.  I have a 6 year old female Golden Retriever and Lucy and my dog get along just great.  The first day she was at my house Lucy didn't eat, but the next day she did just fine.  She doesn't counter surf or guard her food.  She sleeps on a dog bed in my bedroom, or on my bed all night.  She gets up when I get up and is very patient.  She is completely house trained and whimpers by the door when she needs to go out.  Lucy's former family is going through a divorce, but you can tell Lucy was loved by them.  She loves a lot of attention, and gives lots of love right back.  She has only been at our house about a week, but we already love Lucy!
