It is my pleasure to introduce you to sweet Mariah. She is 8 years old. She is very tall and lean, weighs 76 #, not to mention drop-dead gorgeous. Mariah has been with us a week and has been a perfect houseguest. She was surrendered to RAGOM by her owner due to having to move into a small apartment. Mariah comes from a very loving home and has had excellent care her whole life. She is well-socialized, gets along with all other dogs, loves people of all ages, and looks and acts like a 4-year-old. She has no resource or guarding issues with food or toys. She has adjusted to our home and schedule without any problems.

Mariah has been to the vet for her checkup, and I am pleased to say her fecal and heartworm tests were negative. She has been brought up-to-date on all her shots and has been microchipped. The only medical issue that Mariah has is an occasional seizure. She has not had one in quite some time, and her previous owner kept great records and documented every date and time that the seizure occurred. Mariah has not had any since she has been here with us. Mariah gets a Phenobarbital tablet twice a day to keep her seizures under control. I just put it in with her food, and she eats it right down..

Mariah knows basic commands and is a great girl to take along on a walk. She walks very nicely with a martingale collar. We have her on a tie-out or a leash when we are outside. She loves people, so I think she would try to get to them to greet if she saw someone she wanted to be near; therefore, she will need to be monitored when outside if there is no fence.

Mariah is good with small dogs, big dogs, cats, and her previous owner also had a pet rabbit that shared the home. She is a very loving and happy girl.
