Mia, a gorgeous PB 13 week old female Golden that arrived on December 31, 2016. After getting to know this gorgeous girl for a week, We call her the energizer bunny. Mia was originally surrendered due to a skin condition called Ichthyosis however, after visiting the vet it is believed that she does not have it. Mia is currently being treated for worms, E Coli, Giardia, a skin infection, mange and a urinary tract infection (UTI) which is all treatable! Due to the mange Mia has lost a lot of fur and wears a puppy jacket while outside. Her fur is growing back since we started treating her. We will be returning to the vet for another check up on Saturday, January 13. I am hoping that Mia will have put on a couple pounds by then too as she was underweight at 10.5 lbs. After her vet visit on Saturday we will have a better idea on when she will be able to be spayed and adopted!

With everything going on Mia has spunk and an amazing since of smell. She knows where every toy is and listens extremely well. Mia loves to be with her foster family that includes a RD and two young boys 3 and 10. She plays wonderful with the RD Golden and even loves tug-of-war. Mia has her stuffed animals and green tennis ball that she chases around the house.

Are you ready to potty train a puppy? Due to Mia's UTI potty training has been a challenge but she whines when she needs to go outside. Puppies will have accidents! She will have it down in no time and already doing much better. Are you ready to work on training? We are working on sit, stay and lay down and of course the constant potty training. Mia does excellent in the kennel at night and loves to be right next to you when you get up. Are you sure your ready for a puppy? Mia is a puppy! A puppy takes patience, love, training, consistency, love, socialization, and more love! Accidents happen, are you prepared and have items put up? Puppies WILL chew on anything and everything they find! Toys, socks, electrical cords, carpet, plants, food or anything you do not expect.
