Nuke is a 20 month old male Golden Retriever who came to RAGOM from a foster care in Canada. He has been at two foster locations across Canada and is thought to possibly have come from China. Nuke has some resource guarding that prevents him from being placed in a home with children at least until he makes more progress in that area. He is excitable and having just adults is best for now. He is a smart and curious dog who loves people. His main issue is reactivity to other dogs so he needs to be in a home as the only dog. He wants to play but doesn't yet know how to do that safely. He is making progress in reactivity classes and is slowly getting better. No cats should be in the home until he can be trusted with reactivity. He needs a fence to keep him safe. Nuke is in a loving foster home and is making progress. He can still get past the hurdles from his former life but it will take lots of patience and time. This is a journey for Nuke. He needs a home with a quiet, stable environment and someone with patience and determination to keep working with him on his reactivity issues. The reward will be great to both Nuke and the adoptive family!
