Profile

January 20, 2011

Penny is a four-year-old already spayed female. She was surrendered by her owner because they didn't have any time for her. She came last night at 8:30 p.m. She met my two goldens with zero issues. She met the cat soon after, also with zero issues. We went to bed a couple of hours later and she slept quietly all night long. Today was a work day so she spent the morning in a crate. I came home at lunch and she went back into the crate quietly after lunch. I don't think she likes it here, but she certainly is doing well. She ate breakfast in the kitchen with my guys, no sharing. I am transitioning her to a higher quality food, and so far, she's not noticed. She came from a family with kids so she's kid approved. She was an only dog, so she can easily live as the sole dog in the household. She weighs a little too much but we won't know for sure until we visit the vet.

She likes toys, and is somewhat vocal....but not too bad.

It's too cold out today to do anything outside. Hopefully this weekend the weather will moderate. She doesn't seem to mind the cold and so far, she hasn't tried to leave my yard.

She won't be ready to meet families until next week. We'll need to visit the vet too. It looks like she's up to date on her shots, but she'll need a wellness check by a Ragom vet before her adoption. I'll update later as we get to know her.
