Please welcome Riley to the RAGOM family! This handsome, fun-loving boy spent the last year living in a barn but he has made the transition from free-to-roam country boy to suburban family member perfectly. He really seems to enjoy the climate-controlled living in his foster home and the abundance of comfortable furniture to lie on.

Riley is beautiful reddish Golden who was born December 4, 2013. He is a bit on the large size, weighing 110 lbs, but with a better diet and consistent exercise, the extra weight should come off quickly. Riley is very friendly and, being a true golden, he just loves attention. When he first discovered the basket of dog toys in my house he looked like a child on Christmas who has so many new toys he doesn’t know which one to play with….so he tried to play with them all. Riley kept going from one toy to the next until finally settling on tennis balls, which he likes to lay on my lap to engage me in a game of ‘toss and retrieve’. I do the tossing.

Riley has free run of the house and I have webcams set up so that I can watch him while I am at work. Unlike other dogs I have watched on my webcams, who mostly slept during the day, Riley is a wanderer. He walks from room to room all day, looking out any window he can, and occasionally stopping at one of his favorite locations for a brief nap. He is really well behaved, just seems a little bored.

After a day at home alone, Riley does have some energy to burn off in the evenings. He is still pretty young, after all. Our evenings have been spent going for walks and, back at home, tossing tennis balls across the room for him to chase.

Riley is very friendly with all people and dogs we’ve met. He loves car rides and walks. He snoozes quietly at night…..in fact, I have not even heard him bark yet.

More information on Riley will come soon. I am planning to add another dog to the house and I am anxious to watch their interaction on my webcams.

Thanks for checking out this amazing boy!
