Welcome to RAGOM Rocky!!!

Let me introduce to you the most beautiful 13 yr old gentlemen.  He is always by my side, looking up at me with his adorable face, sweetest soul, saying pet and love me some more...Rocky enjoys the simple things in life.  Warm bed, leisure walks around the neighborhood and some XOXOX's.

Rocky has always been a outside dog his whole life, so he has had to adjust to some big lifestyle changes.  But I think he is welcoming these changes because he walks around following me from room to room with his tail wagging and smiling. He is an absolute love bug and has aged to perfection!!!

Rock has been very busy since he has been with me.  He arrived the day before Thanksgiving and has been very busy since his arrival. He stopped in to the vet to introduce himself, had a physical, then was swept off to the spa for some TLC.  Let me tell you he came out looking and smelling like a new man.  The ladies there said he was the perfect gentlemen.

He was the perfect host for Thanksgiving. He laid very patiently around the table waiting for food that "accidentally" fell off of the plates, then helped himself to some Bailey's Irish cream that was left on the coffee table. Rocky went to bed that night smiling with a full and content belly:0).

He loves kids as he came from a house with them, and also some neighbor kids that adored him as well. He wanted to also thank Sue for helping out on looking after him and his sister and wanted to wish her a very "Merry Christmas".

Still not sure how Rock would be around cats as I do not have any, but he is doing pretty good around my 3 dogs.  He has butted heads with one several times, but he is getting better.

Rocky does have some hip/knee concerns, and has been put on pain meds for that.  He is doing so much better since he has been taking them.  When he first came here, he had a very hard time getting up, but now is able to get up on his own. And this is with hardwood floors.

He is scheduled to be "snipped" this week, and at the same time will have some x-rays done to see what exactly is going on with his back end.  He also has started taking some supplements, so that should start to help him out as well.

I will send a update after his surgery on Wednesday.  Keep your paws crossed!!!

Never in our wildest imaginations would we have expected our beloved Rocky to be with us for almost 2 years. With his passing, we are deeply saddened yet grateful for the time we got to spend with him. Rocky embodied everything we adore about Golden Retrievers - he was gentle, unconditionally loving, and wanted nothing more than to be by our sides day or night. He gave us many wonderful memories, which we will treasure forever. I want to thank the you once more for bringing such a beautifu...

I got to thinking today.... how grand it would be to be young again.... I was watching my 5 year old golden sis, Roxie, playing outside with my older sis, Sage. By playing, I mean that Roxie would get a 30-yard running start and run right up to Sage, stopping just slightly and knocking Sage to the ground and trying to pin her to the ground like all-star wrestling. She does this all the time, especially in the winter. Roxie is the one Mom and Dad call "wild child", mainly because she has so much...

YEAAAHHHH! Time for another Rocky update ! What a beautiful day to lay around, munch on treats, and relax! Yup, it's great to be me. This month, I'm going to test you with some number trivia. I've put together some interesting statistics about me, below. I'll give you the number, then you try to guess what it means... ready, set, go! 0=the number of times i have counter-surfed at my new home. I'd like to see this number higher, but their counters are too tall for me. I've asked them to lower the...

It's yours truly - Rocky.   So it's been 2 months since moving into my forever home and I'm pleased to announce that everything is really, really great.  As each day goes by, my family learns more about my character and what makes me such a great catch.   I do have one big piece of news to share with you!  I have a new name.... well sorta.  You see, my 2 year old human sister doesn't pronounce her R's completely so she calls me "ocky". ...

Hi, it's me Rocky! You've probably been wondering what I've been up to.  You won't believe how busy I've been.I've spent quite a bit of time getting to know my 2 GR sisters.  We hang out all day long and we've become good friends.  It didn't take them long to figure me out and we've had no issues at all.  I don't have any hang-ups with my personal space, so I don't mind it when they nap right next to me or the rest of the family is up close giving me smooches.  Seri...

Hey!  It's me, Rocky. I think I can get used to living in my new home.  I just had my best Christmas ever!  I got to sit on the floor with everyone while they opened presents and I even got some presents just for me!  I devoured one of the rawhide bones after they unwrapped it and I saw some more treats that they said I could have later.  Can't wait. These people are absolute push-overs.  They didn't freak out when I went #2 in the living ro...

Rocky has just left and moved on to his new home to live the golden life.  He really enjoyed his last day here.  He joined us in a wild football game in the snow.  He even was attempting to get the other dogs to rough house with him by biting at their ankles and necks.  He showed no signs of being a senior and enjoyed every minute we were out there.  I have a feeling Rocky is going to be very tired and have some aching muscles to deal with tomorrow.  And...

Rocky has found his forever home :0).    He will be sharing his home with a mom and dad, two, two legged siblings and two Goldens siblings, one who is a former RAGOM gal.  Dad also works from home so he will have lots of TLC.  He will be leaving us tomorrow afternoon so he can be home in time for Christmas to find his own presents under the tree.    Thank you E family for looking beyond Rocky's arthritis and hip dysplasia and for falling in love&...

Good morning everyone, Rocky here :0) I have the most exciting news to share with everybody, and I really did not want to wait for FM to do my update, so here I go.... First off, I never did go to Auntie Cindy's house because I already have a family who wants to meet me tomorrow.  So instead of shuffling me around, my two FM's decided that I should hang out here until I have my very important day to strut my stuff and show what a wonderful gentleman I am. I had a...

Rocky sure must have been a good boy this year because he already got an early Christmas present from Santa!!! Santa sent him a Christmas Angel by the name of Don M.  who has generously sponsored him.  The Rockster would love to send a big wet kiss his way for this :0), and to also wish him a very Merry Christmas. We went for a walk tonight in the winter wonderland which he just loved.  As soon as I put the leash on him, he pulled me right to the gate as fast as he coul...

Rocky has had a extreme make over since he has joined the RAGOM family.  And I must say he is turning out to be one handsome devil! Let's just say he can no longer share his quality genes anymore, and is finally able to get up and move around without walking bull-legged. While Rocky was out he got his teeth cleaned.  During the cleaning, the vet noticed a tooth that was abscessed due to being worn down to the pulp cavity, so that was extracted.  He now...
