This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

Rocky 15-100 is an 8 year old neutered male, purebred Golden Retriever. Rocky is being fostered on Woman Lake near Hackensack, Mn.

Rocky was obtained from a shelter on April 9, 2015. He had been turned over to a shelter about a month ago. He was wearing a shock collar when he was found as a stray. It is unknown if the electric fencing in his yard was turned off or if Rocky ran away to seek adventures and a new life. Rocky had no identification or a microchip, hence- his original owner could not be located. He spent several weeks at the shelter and during that time his owner never came looking for him. The shelter asked RAGOM if they could take him because he needed further treatment for an ear infection that was not responding to medication. Here is a photo taken at the shelter when I met Rocky. As you can see, Rocky was very happy to learn he was going to be a RAGOM dog!

Since being in his foster home Rocky has been to the vet, got up to date on his vaccinations, and received a good check-up. Rocky is tall and slim and weighs 67 lbs.

He enjoys having his beautiful reddish coat brushed and his ears cleaned. We are still fighting an ear infection, which I think he has had for some time. He is being treated daily and we are hopeful it will clear up soon.

Rocky gets along with all people, but has not been exposed to children. He loved my teenage grandson and his friends. Rocky is quite exuberant for a senior dog and could easily knock over a toddler. He will be kid tested with younger children next month when guests come to visit us.

Rocky loves car rides, is house trained, walks nicely on a leash, and obeys a variety of commands. Rocky doesn't have any problems with other dogs. He gets along really well with my son's 2 year old Wheaton Terrier named Mabel. Rocky seldom barks and has a laid-back temperment.

Rocky has plenty of energy and spunk for a older dog. He is very friendly and likes everyone he meets. Rocky needs a golden life for his next years. A permanent family of his own would make him very happy.
