5/18/05: Sammy is here & what a GReat dog he is. He was surrendered by his previous family due to his owners' health issues and they felt they weren't able to care for him the way he deserved. He is 2 years old & comes with his AKC papers. He is a beautiful light blonde red golden color. I would guess his weight to be about 75 lbs. He has been living outdoors his entire life and has a history of allergies (not sure to what, but his owners thought maybe he was allergic to dirt???). Thus far he has been making himself very comfortable in the house. It took awhile to get used to all the new smells, not to mention all the new friends. He meet the other 3 resident dogs without any problems - Sammy just wants to play with everyone. He isn't house trained but we'll be working on that and thus far no accidents. Yeah Sammy!! Sammy does counter surf so we'll be working on that, too. He gets along great with kids of all ages, although he can be exhuberant at times and may knock over the smaller ones. Sammy is UTD and neutered, but we'll go to the vet on Friday for a health check and to get micro chipped. Hopefully we can help him with his allergies while we're there.
