Skye is an absolutely gorgeous, smart 7-month-old purebred Golden Retriever. She is very healthy, currently weighs 45 pounds, is up to date on all vaccinations, and has been spayed and microchipped.

Skye is house trained and sleeps through the night. She loves to play and go for walks. She knows several commands, but would do well with an obedience class. She is crate trained and does fine when in it, but would definitely prefer not to be locked up. She does not have any separation or storm anxieties. We do crate her when we are gone, but usually only for 3-4 hours. Skye has been around a small child without any problems. She was very timid around other dogs and people when we first got, her but she has definitely come out of her shell and has become a social Golden with the help of our older dog. Skye came to RAGOM because her former owners decided they were no longer up to breaking in a puppy. They were used to an older, calmer Golden that had sadly passed away.

While Skye is an absolute sweetheart, she is still very much a puppy. She is calm most of the time, but needs to be watched closely. She likes to chew on things (as most puppies do) and jump up on us and to see what’s on the counter. We have been working on all of these, and she seems to be getting better. As she matures, I’m sure much of this will fade away as it does with Goldens. She needs someone who has the patience and time to spend with a puppy.

She is a beautiful puppy and would make a wonderful addition to a very lucky home.
